    27 July – 64th Anniversary of the Armistice in the Korean War (celebrated as Victory Day in the DPRK). There will be various festivities on this occasion including amazing Mass Dance in one of the main Pyongyang’s squares and fireworks. In this tour you will have a unique opportunity to visit Military Hardware Exhibition House of the Korean People's Army, which is open for foreign visitors only a few days a year. This museum features the most impressive exhibition of military hardware you may have seen. Experience Pyongyang on a leisure drive during a unique Tram ride around the city in the classic tram made in socialist Czech republic. There will be a lot of great photo opportunities. You will also go to one of the most beautiful places of the DPRK - Mt.Kumgang where you will enjoy striking mountain landscapes, waterfalls and streams

    Jul 22 (Sat): Pyongyang Kaesong

    Arrival in Pyongyang

    • Depart from Beijing by Air Koryo flight JS 152 Beijing-Pyongyang at 12.55 from TERMINAL 2, Beijing Capital Airport . Arrive in Pyongyang at 15.30 local time
    • Drive from Pyongyang to Kaesong - capital of Korea up to the 15th century. Kaesong is the only city in Korea which has preserved its original historical make up as it hasn't been destroyed during the Korean war. It is a home for 12 historic sites from the UNESCO World Heritage List. Kaesong is considered to be home of Koryo insam (ginseng) and so be prepared to buy some of the best insam in the Far East
    • Check in Minsok Folk Hotel ** - a cosy hotel located in the old center of Kaesong. It consists of 20 traditional Korean houses all off a courtyard, and featuring a charming stream running through it. It’s fascinating and far more atmospheric than anywhere else you’ll stay in the country

    Jul 23 (Sun): Kaesong Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) Pyongyang Kaesong Pyongyang

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Walk through one of the Kaesong Traditional Folk Streets
    • Janamsan Park - located on a hill overlooking the city it is a great place to enjoy the beautiful panorama of the old Kaesong
    • Sonjuk Bridge - a small stone bridge dating back to 1216, UNESCO World Heritage Site
    • Drive to Tomb of King Kongmin - UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the original mausoleum of the 31st king of the Koryo Dynasty - King Kongmin and his Queen dated back to 14th century
    • Move to Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) - a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea, it is one of the most militarized area on our planet
    • Panmunjom - a village where in 1953 Armistice Talks were held between the DPR Korea and the United Nation Command. Visit the blue tent-like building located exactly on the borderline between Koreas. You can walk around the conference room and hop from South to North Korea while you are in this building. This is one of the few places where you can take pictures of the DPRK military
    • On the way back to Pyongyang have lunch at Tongil restaurant - "Tongil" means "Reunification" in Korean, it is one of the most famous restaurants in Kaesong where you can experience royal meal with multiple side-dishes. For anyone wanting to supplement their lunch, there will be an opportunity to sample Korea’s famous ginseng chicken soup (at extra charge)
    • Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification - the monument representing desire of Korean people for reunification. It is shaped in form of two Korean women holding Korean peninsula over the Thongil highway from Pyongyang to DMZ
    • Observe Pyongyang from the top of Juche Tower - at 150m it is the highest stone monument in the world. Take elevator to the top of the tower to enjoy the magnificent view of Pyongyang (optional, 5 Euro p/p)
    • Visit Monument to Workers' Party of Korea - opened in Juche 84 (1995) the monument depicts the hammer, sickle and brush seized by a worker, a farmer and an intellectual. The round belt means the single-hearted unity of the leader, Party and people
    • Dinner
    • Pyongyang microbrewery and bar - try several types of locally brewed beer and wide variety of international cuisine (at your own expense)

    Jul 24 (Mon): Pyongyang Wonsan Mt.Kumgang

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Drive to Wonsan - port city and naval base on the westernmost shore of the East Korean Sea. There are a lot of beautiful beaches around Wonsan making it a touristic Mekka of the DPRK
    • Visit Ulim Waterfall - one of the famous waterfalls in Korea, it was discovered by Korean soldiers in 2001. The waterfall falls from 45m making thunderous sound echo as far as four kilometers around. That is why the waterfall is called "Ullim" or "echo" in Korean
    • Arrive in Wonsan and take a short break at Wonsan central square - located in the city's heart it features recently renovated monuments to the leaders. A few minutes walk from the central square there is a harbor where you can see local people fishing
    • Have lunch at Kalmaegi fish restaurant in Wonsan
    • Visit Chonsam cooperative farm - "an area of three villages where springs well out" in Korean. You will visit agricultural fields, kindergarten and local store
    • Continue to Sijung Beach & Motel - one of a number of tranquil white, sandy beaches in North Korea. Sijung beach is half way between Wonsan and Mt.Kumgang
    • Drive to Mt.Kumgang - "diamond mountain" in Korean, it is one of the most famous mountains in Korea. "If I were to die the day after seeing Kumgang, I would have no regrets", said the Chinese Song Dynasty poet Su Shi (1037-1101). Until 2010 Mt.Kumgang had been off-limits to most foreigners visiting North Korea

    Jul 25 (Tue): Mt.Kumgang Wonsan

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Take a short walk round Samil Lagoon - widely known for its crystal-clear water, rocky hills and thick forests. According to legend, a king once visited the lake for a day but was so amazed by its beauty that he stayed there for three days, hence the name Samil (three days)
    • Take easy hike along Kuryongyon Course - the most beautiful track in Outer Kumgang, it is about 7 - 8 km walk from Mokran restaurant to Kuryong (Nine Dragon) Waterfalls
    • Enjoy lunch at Mokran Restaurant - famous restaurant at the foot of Mt.Kumgang
    • Drive to Wonsan
    • Move to Songdowon International Children's Union Camp - perfect place for schoolchildren between April and October not only from Korea but from other countries as well. It is situated right on the coast and boasts white, sandy beaches
    • Dinner

    OVERNIGHT: Tongmyong Hotel **
    Jul 26 (Wed): Wonsan Pyongyang

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Drive to Pyongyang
    • Take ride in Pyongyang Metro - one of the deepest subways in the world, it was designed to serve as a bomb shelter in case of war. The stations' interiors are stunning with superb lighting and mosaics. This is a great chance to interact with local people and explore several subway stations
    • Arch of Triumph - built in 1982 to commemorate President Kim Il Sung’s role in resisting Japanese rule, it is the second tallest triumphal arch in the world. Each of its 25,500 blocks of finely-dressed white granite represents a day of his life up to that point
    • NEW! Visit unique Jonsong Revolutionary Site - a system of tunnels used as a wartime HQ by Korea People's Army. Here we will see the preserved rooms where soldiers and officers slept, lived and had meetings
    • Lunch
    • Move to Moranbong Park - a recreation area where locals have picnics and sing songs during weekends. It is a unique opportunity to socialize with local people
    • Transfer to Kim Il Sung Square - Pyongyang’s central square where Korea’s massive military parades normally take place. Opened in August Juche 43 (1954) it is the 30th largest square in the world
    • Pyongyang Foreign Language Book Shop - the popular shop where you can buy propaganda posters, books and other souvenirs
    • Head to Taedong Park - a great place a few minutes away from Kim Il Sung Square to enjoy a peaceful park and a walk along the Taedong river. Stop by Pyongyang Bell - national treasure, it was rung to announce invasions, natural disasters, New Year's Day and other major events. The current bell was cast in 1726 during the Ri dynasty to replace an earlier one that was destroyed by fire in 1714. Walk along the Taedong river to Taedong Gate - built in the mid-6th century, it is the east gate of the inner castle of the Walled City of Pyongyang (Pyongyang Castle, Koguryo dynasty) situated on the bank of River Taedong. Visit Ryonggwang Pavillion - one of the 8 scenic wonders of western part of Korea

    • Continue evening in Taedonggang Number 3 Bar - try seven different local draft beers (at your own expense, 1.5 Euro each)

    Jul 27 (Thu): Pyongyang

    VICTORY DAY

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Visit incredible Kumsusan Palace of Sun - Mausoleum of president Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. To visit the Mausoleum tourists should follow a strict dress code: no shorts, T-shirts and sandals, no blue jeans and mini-skirts
    • Walk in Mansudae Fountain Park - composed of many beautifully designed in shape of dancing women fountains, this park is a place to enjoy jets of water reaching up to 80 meters
    • Visit majestic Mansudae Grand Monument - the huge bronze statues of the leaders standing in the center of the composition with two monuments titled "Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Struggle" and "Socialist Construction" on both sides. It was renovated in April 2012 following the passing away of the leader Kim Jong Il and a new statue of Kim Jong Il was added next to Kim Il Sung's
    • NEW! Visit Military Hardware Exhibition House of the Korean People's Army - one of the finest, most impressive museums in the DPRK offering an amazing display different kinds of weapons and combat equipment: small arms, artillery, tanks, warships, aircrafts and strategic rockets produced at munitions factories of the DPRK
    • Experience unique Tram ride around the city - a ride from Mangyongdae Native House to Pyongyang Railway Station with a stop at Pyongyang Circus. The tram system was built after the end of the Korean War and it is still the main means of transportation for working population to get to work and back home
    • Lunch
    • Optional (20 Euro) performance at Pyongyang Circus - one of two main circuses in Pyongyang where you can see fun and entertaining performance (20 Euro)
    • Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace - recently renovated center for local children's extra curricular education. The palace was opened in 1989 and it features striking post-modern piece of design. In 2016 it was re-opened after massive reconstruction and now it is one of the most striking building in the country. After excursion you will have a chance to enjoy amazing children’s performance
    • Enjoy Mass Dance - one of the most well known images of North Korea: students of local universities get on the main city's squares and dance dressed in traditional Korean suit
    • Dinner in one of the Pyongyang’s restaurants

    OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo International Hotel ****
    Jul 28 (Fri): Pyongyang Mt.Myohyang Pyongyang

    • Breakfast in the hotel
    • Drive (about 3h) to Mt.Myohyang - the Mountain of Mysterious Fragrance, one of the five celebrated mountains of Korea. It is a sacred site as, according to legend, it was the home of King Tangun, forefather of the Korean people. In 2009 UNESCO designated Mount Myohyang a world biosphere reserve
    • Visit grandiose International Friendship Exhibition - the world's biggest treasure-house. On exhibit are gifts received by DPRK's leaders over the years. One building stores the presents given to President Kim Il Sung, while a smaller one holds those given to Leader Kim Jong Il
    • After impressive exhibition discover Pohyon temple - one of the five famous Buddhist temples of Korea, it was built nearly 1,000 years ago
    • Enjoy your lunch near the Friendship Exhibition in Hyangsan - town bordered by the Chongchun river on the one side, and the Myohyang stream flows along the other
    • Drive back to Pyongyang
    • Visit Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum - unveiled in 2013 by the leader Kim Jong Un after massive renovation this museum explains the origins of the Korean War (1950-53) between South and North. Here you will see the only US ship captured by a foreign country - the spy ship USS Pueblo, as well as American weapons and shot down planes. The museum features amazing displays and excellent dioramas
    • Dinner in one of Pyongyang’s restaurants
    • Continue evening in Kaeson Youth Funfair - one of the most popular amusement parks and nightspots in Pyongyang, it was recently renovated. This is a great place to observe local people and take pictures with them

    OVERNIGHT: Yanggakdo International Hotel ****
    Jul 29 (Sat):

    • After breakfast in the hotel transfer to the airport and depart by Air Koryo flight JS 151 Pyongyang-Beijing at 8.30 in the morning from Pyongyang Airport . Arrive in Beijing at 09.55 in the morning (local time)
