Then you will travel to the ancient capital of Korea until the 15th century, Kaesong. It miraculously survived the bombings of the Korean War(1950-53) and thus preserved its historical appearance. If running isn't your thing, you can still enjoy the experience by watching the marathon and a soccer match between local Korean teams at Kim Il Sung Stadium. Additionally, both before and after the marathon, you'll have the chance to explore the North Korean capital of Pyongyang through an extensive sightseeing program.

On April 11, 2026, the DPRK will celebrate the 14th anniversary of the day its current leader, Kim Jong Un, officially assumed leadership as the First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
