    INFORMATION ABOUT DPRK TOURS 2026

In January 2020, North Korea (DPRK) closed its borders to the outside world in order to prevent the entry of COVID-19 into the country. In February 2024, as an exception, the country opened to tourists holding Russian citizenship. In February 2025, the DPRK allowed international tourists to enter the northeastern region of Rason, but two weeks later entry was unexpectedly closed again for unknown reasons.

As of the end of 2025, international tourism to the DPRK has still not resumed, although opportunities to visit the country as part of special (non-tourist) delegations have significantly expanded. Within such a delegation, it became possible in April 2025 for amateur runners from many countries around the world to participate in the Pyongyang Marathon.

We hope that in April 2026 the Pyongyang Marathon will also be able to welcome amateur runners from different countries; however, the format and the possibility of participation in this event depend on many factors that remain unknown at present. As soon as we learn more, we will immediately publish information about it.

The same applies to the resumption of tourism in the DPRK. As soon as the relevant decision is made by the DPRK authorities, we will promptly publish tourist itineraries. Representatives of our company regularly visit the DPRK and keep a close watch on developments. For more information, please contact us via WhatsApp or E-mail.
