The 32nd Pyongyang International Marathon is scheduled to take place on April 5, 2026 in Pyongyang (preliminary date). This exciting event, formerly known as the Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon, is an annual race held in the North Korean capital. The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has designated the Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon as a Bronze Label event, and it officially records the performances of professional marathon runners who participate.

Whether you choose to run a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or full marathon, you'll do so in the enigmatic capital of North Korea, alongside both Korean and international professional and amateur runners. This marathon also offers a unique chance for foreigners in the DPRK to interact with locals and gain firsthand insights into this fascinating country.

    Important information regarding journalists
The DPRK does not allow journalists to visit the country on tourist visas. The submission of false details in the visa application would have serious consequences for us as a tour operator as well as for our Korean partners and DPRK Embassy staff. This is a risk not worth taking. By booking your tour and applying for a visa through us you agree to follow the above rules. Thank you for your understanding.
