July 27 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Armistice agreement in the Korean War (1950-1953). In the DPRK it is a very important national holiday officially called “The Day of Victory in the Great Fatherland Liberation War”. Big festivities are expected on the occasion of the Victory Day including a spectacular Mass Dance in one of the main Pyongyang’s squares.
Enjoy the impressive DPRK capital Pyongyang and its major landmarks. Travel to the mysterious Mt.Myohyang and visit the International Friendship Exhibition, the world's biggest treasure house displaying gifts received by DPRK's leaders over the years.
Visit Kaesong - the ancient capital of Korea and one of the few DPRK cities not destroyed by the Korean War. Travel to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) - a strip of heavily militarized land dividing North and South Korea. Since 1953 the DMZ has been a tragic symbol of the Korean nation’s division.
