July 27 marks the 72nd Anniversary of the Armistice Agreement in the Korean War (1950-1953). The agreement established a ceasefire and created the Korean Demilitarized Zone, a buffer zone separating the two Koreas. While it ended the active fighting, it did not lead to a formal peace treaty, meaning that the Korean War technically remains ongoing.
In the DPRK, it is a profoundly significant national holiday officially known as 'The Day of Victory in the Great Fatherland Liberation War.' The day is celebrated with grand festivities, including a spectacular Mass Dance in one of Pyongyang's main squares.
This tour offers an opportunity to explore the impressive DPRK capital, Pyongyang, and its prominent landmarks within a remarkably short time frame.
We will also take a trip to the Mt.Myohyang to enjoy the beautiful Korean nature, explore ancient Buddhist temples, and see the impressive International Friendship Exhibition, the world's largest museum-treasure house showcasing gifts received by Korean leaders over the years.
